Returning for her junior season, Alayna Ealy enters the 2026 season continuing to grow and embrace her opportunity with the Golden Bears. A Lancaster, SC native, Alayna is a player who continues to develop into her abilities, and her coaches recognize the potential, dedication, and value she brings to the program.

After competing on Clinton’s Junior Varsity team, Alayna is transitioning to the varsity level as an Outside Hitter. With the graduation of two key contributors at this position who played a major role in the success of the program, the coaching staff believes Alayna has the ability to continue developing and make an impact in this role.

Alayna’s journey to Clinton is rooted in opportunity. Coming from a small town where she did not have many opportunities to play volleyball throughout middle school or high school, she was prepared to step away from the sport after graduation until she was given the chance to continue her volleyball career.

“I chose Clinton because of the volleyball program, smaller school environment, and the very family-oriented faculty and staff. Everyone was very nice and friendly on my visit,” Alayna shared.

She was also drawn to the culture within the program, saying, “What attracted me to the program was the coaches and the players. Everyone was so sweet, welcoming, friendly, and I loved the sisterhood. I also liked that Christianity is a part of the program as well.”

Off the court, Alayna has goals of completing her bachelor’s degree, earning her master’s degree in collegiate coaching, and pursuing a future coaching at the collegiate level. She also hopes to create her own travel volleyball organization to provide opportunities for future athletes.

As she continues to grow as a player and leader, Alayna identifies teamwork, accountability, and empathy as the qualities she brings to the program. Her continued development, commitment, and willingness to embrace this next opportunity will allow her to continue making an impact within the Golden Bears volleyball family.
